Picuki: Does It Still Work, and Is It Safe?

Picuki no longer shows Instagram content: picuki.com forwards to tikvib.com. See what the copies are, how Picuki alternatives behaved, and what to do instead.

Picuki: Does It Still Work, and Is It Safe?

Picuki no longer works as an Instagram viewer. When we tested it on 24 September 2026, picuki.com showed no Instagram content at all: it forwarded every visit, including old links to Picuki profile pages, to tikvib.com, a different site registered in July 2025. Sites that now use the Picuki name on other domains are copies, not the original service.

Below is what we found, how we tested it, what the copies are, which Picuki alternatives we checked, and what you can do instead, whether you want to look at a public profile or you are worried about who is looking at yours.

What is Picuki, and what happened to it?

Picuki was a free website for browsing public Instagram profiles, posts and hashtags without an Instagram account. It was never made by Instagram. Its original address, picuki.com, now forwards to tikvib.com, so the service people remember is gone.

The short answer

  • Does Picuki still work? No. picuki.com forwards to tikvib.com and shows no Instagram content.
  • Is picuki.site or picuki.net the real Picuki? No. Both were registered years after picuki.com (in November 2023 and December 2025), and neither shows any link to it.
  • Can any site show a private Instagram account? No. Viewer sites can only reach public accounts, and the ones we tested say so themselves.
  • Can you watch Picuki stories, or someone’s Instagram story, without them knowing? Not through Instagram, which shows the owner everyone who watched and has no setting to hide you. Viewer sites get around this by collecting stories without logging in, which Instagram’s terms forbid.
  • Is there a Picuki alternative that works? Of the similar viewers we tested the same day, only Imginn still showed Instagram content, and it loads a lot of third-party trackers. The full list is below.

What Picuki was

Picuki was a free website that let people browse public Instagram profiles, posts and hashtags from a browser without signing in to Instagram, and it described itself as a viewer and photo editor. It was never an Instagram product. The domain picuki.com was registered in November 2019, and Instagram had no part in the service.

People also search for it as Pikuki, Pickuki, Pickui, Bicuki or Picuki.com. Whichever spelling you type, the answer is the same: the original Picuki is gone, and the sites that use its name are not the same service.

How we tested

We checked picuki.com twice on 24 September 2026. First from a server, recording where the address led, its security certificate and the domain’s public registration record. Then in a separate browser with no Instagram account signed in, recording where the page went and what it loaded. We did not download anything, allow notifications or get past any security check. The same day we ran the same checks on six similar Instagram and YouTube tools and on the other domains that use the Picuki name. Our editorial policy explains how pages like this one are made and corrected.

What happens when you open picuki.com

  • At 07:25 UTC the address returned Cloudflare error 522, which means the server behind the domain did not answer.
  • Fifteen minutes later it forwarded visitors to www.tikvib.com. Old profile links forwarded too: picuki.com/profile/natgeo went to tikvib.com/profile/natgeo.
  • tikvib.com opened on a Cloudflare security check that did not clear in our browser, so we could not see the site behind it. Reports from other sites describe it as a TikTok viewer.

The public registration record shows picuki.com was registered in November 2019 and is paid up to November 2026. Several blogs report that Picuki dropped its Instagram features in early 2025. Its operators have not said so publicly, and the forwarding to Tikvib is the only change we could confirm ourselves.

The sites now using the Picuki name

What we found at each address on 24 September 2026:

  • picuki.com (registered November 2019): forwards to tikvib.com and shows no Instagram content.
  • picuki.site (registered November 2023): online, presenting itself as an Instagram viewer under the Picuki name.
  • picuki.net (registered December 2025): online, presenting itself as an Instagram viewer under the Picuki name.
  • picuki.cc (registered October 2025): forwards to an unrelated company’s website.
  • picuki.io (registered October 2022), picuki.me (registered November 2025) and picuki.ws: did not load, with a redirect loop, a certificate error and a time-out.

We did not test these copies in depth. On similar viewer sites the same day, we found:

  • a push-notification service worker that loads its code from a third-party domain, so clicking Allow would let that party send notifications to your desktop after you leave (Insacret);
  • requests to 21 outside servers from at least eight advertising and tracking companies, including Google, Criteo, OpenX and Yahoo (Imginn);
  • a banner promising “zero tracking” on a page that loads Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics (Dumpor).

Why Instagram viewers keep disappearing

Every site in this category collects Instagram content without Instagram’s permission. Instagram’s Terms of Use say: “You can’t attempt to create accounts or access or collect information in unauthorized ways. This includes creating accounts or accessing or collecting information in an automated way without our express permission.”

Instagram also goes after the domains. In December 2020 it won 15 viewer domains, including my-instastalker.com and theinsta-stalker.com, through the World Intellectual Property Organization’s domain dispute process (case D2020-2826). In August 2021 it won igdig.com, where the panel noted that earlier panels had held that “unauthorized automated accessing and downloading of content from social networks amounts to bad faith” (case D2021-1990). The registration record for iganony.com, once a popular viewer, now lists Meta Platforms, Instagram’s owner, as the registrant.

That is why a viewer that works today can vanish without notice, and why its old address can end up pointing somewhere else, as Picuki’s has.

Picuki alternatives: what we found when we tested them

People who land here usually want a working replacement. On 24 September 2026 we ran the same checks on the other Instagram viewers below. None is an official Instagram service, and we are not recommending any of them. This is only what each one did when we tested it:

  • Imginn: still worked and found public profiles, but the page requested 21 outside servers from at least eight advertising and tracking companies.
  • Dumpor: online, but it did not show us anything. dumpor.com forwarded to dumpor.io.
  • Insacret: showed no stories in two tests, and asked for a push-notification permission.
  • IgAnony: no longer works. The iganony.com registration now lists Meta Platforms.
  • InstaStalker: no longer works.

The only option that does not depend on a third-party copy is Instagram itself, covered below. Whichever viewer you try, expect it to change or disappear.

If you use a viewer anyway

  • Never enter your Instagram password. None of the sites we tested asked for one, and a viewer has no reason to.
  • Say no to notification prompts. If you already said yes, remove the permission: in Chrome, open Settings, then Privacy and security, then Site settings, then Notifications.
  • Do not install an app or browser extension that a viewer site offers.
  • Expect it to change. Of the seven Instagram and YouTube tools we checked, four no longer worked at their original address.

How to view a public Instagram profile or story without Picuki

Instagram shows public profiles to people without an account. When we opened instagram.com/natgeo without logging in, the page showed the account’s follower count, bio and latest posts under a sign-up prompt. Stories are different: they need an account, and the owner can see who watched.

Can you use Picuki anonymously?

Not any more on the original site, because picuki.com shows no Instagram content. Picuki was popular for “anonymous” viewing because it needed no login, so the account owner could not see you in a viewer’s list. Sites that now copy the name give no such guarantee, and some of the similar viewers we tested loaded advertising trackers or asked for notification permission, so they can still identify your browser to third parties.

If your goal is simply to look at a public profile, Instagram’s own page works without an account, as described above. For other tools in this category, see our checks of Imginn and Dumpor. If you were using Picuki to research hashtags, our guide on how Instagram hashtags work covers what you can do inside Instagram.

If you are worried about who is viewing your account

  • Viewer sites can only reach public accounts, so making your account private stops them. In the Instagram app, go to your profile, tap the menu in the top right, then tap Account privacy under Who can see your content and turn on Private account (Instagram’s steps). Business profiles have to switch back to a personal account first.
  • Imginn, one of the viewers that still works, has a removal request page at imginn.com/remove/. We have not tested whether requests are acted on.

Frequently asked questions

What is Picuki?

Picuki was a free website for browsing public Instagram profiles and posts without an account. It was not made by Instagram. The original address, picuki.com, now forwards to tikvib.com.

Is Picuki down?

Yes. On 24 September 2026, picuki.com showed no Instagram content and forwarded every visit to tikvib.com.

Is Picuki safe?

The original picuki.com no longer shows Instagram content, so there is nothing left to use there. The sites that now use the Picuki name, such as picuki.site and picuki.net, are copies with no visible link to it. We did not test them in depth, but similar viewer sites we did test loaded dozens of third-party trackers or asked for notification permission. Never enter your Instagram password on any of them.

What replaced Picuki?

The picuki.com address now forwards to tikvib.com, a domain registered in July 2025. Sites called Picuki on other domains are copies registered years after the original, with no visible link to it.

What are the best Picuki alternatives?

Of the similar viewers we tested on 24 September 2026, only Imginn still showed Instagram content, and it loaded many third-party trackers. Dumpor and Insacret were online but showed us nothing, and IgAnony and InstaStalker no longer work. Viewing a public profile on Instagram itself needs no account.

Can you view Instagram stories on Picuki anonymously?

Not any more: picuki.com no longer shows Instagram content. On Instagram itself, stories need an account and the owner can see everyone who watched, with no setting to hide you. Viewer sites collect stories without logging in, which Instagram’s terms forbid, and the ones we tested were unreliable.

Can Picuki or any other viewer show a private Instagram account?

No. Viewer sites can only reach public accounts, and the ones we tested say so themselves. Only approved followers can see a private account.

The sites work against Instagram’s Terms of Use, which forbid collecting information in an automated way without permission, and Instagram has taken over viewer domains through formal disputes. Downloading and reposting someone else’s photos or videos can also infringe their copyright. This is general information, not legal advice.

Is there an anonymous way to use Picuki now?

No. The original Picuki shows no Instagram content, and the copies on other domains are unrelated sites. None can promise anonymity, and viewing stories through Instagram itself always shows the owner who watched.

Is Bicuki the same as Picuki?

Bicuki is most likely a misspelling of Picuki. We found no evidence of a separate service by that name, so the answer on this page applies.

We will re-test this page when Picuki’s status changes. If you see something different, tell us through the contact form.
